Using the TIP

Using the TIP Survey for Research Purposes

Many scholars have inquired whether they might have access to The Integration Profile (TIP) survey instrument to incorporate in their own research. Some will do this by responding to our Call for Papers and writing a Working Paper on a relevant aspect that TIP helps interpret or understand. Others, however, have requested access to the TIP survey instrument for their own dissertation or other original research projects. The Princeton University Faith & Work Initiative has agreed to make this available for researchers who meet certain criteria. We are keen to support other scholars who wish to participate in furthering the understanding of the intersection of faith and work.

To use the TIP survey, researchers are requested to submit a research proposal and will need to sign a standard usage agreement confirming that the TIP instrument will be limited to the research project and duration specified in their proposal. Use of the TIP survey for commercial, consulting, or other revenue generating purposes is not permitted . The researcher must use the survey within the parameters agreed upon, is responsible for gaining the approval of their governing IRB board, as appropriate, and sending FWI a copy of the IRB approval. Finally, upon completion of the research, researcher will send the final version of the research paper to the FWI.

Researchers who are interested in using the TIP survey should contact the Faith & Work Initiative with a letter of interest to David W. Miller (dwm@princeton.edu) and Nicoleta Acatrinei (nicoleta.acatrinei@princeton.edu) Princeton University Faith & Work Initiative, 5 Ivy Lane, Princeton, NJ 08542, USA . The letter should include a brief explanation of your qualifications, reason for interest in the topic, your CV, and the proposed use of the survey. Thank you in advance for your interest.
